Outreach
- Concerts are held in accessible venues.
- Admission to most concerts is free, although we welcome donations to help defray our expenses.
- All the proceeds from our two January 2016 performances of “Schütz and Telemann: Emerging from the Shadow of Bach” were donated to VNA and Hospice of Cooley Dickinson, the Hospice of the Fisher Home, and Hospice of Franklin County.
- Half of the proceeds from the performance of our concert that included the Duruflé Requiem on May 26, 2017 (Memorial Day weekend) went to the local Veterans’ organization, Soldier On.
- We donated the entire gate – more than $1,000 – from our January 17, 2020 performance of “Come to the Woods” to the nearby Kestral Land Trust.
- We host a Messiah Sing some years on the first Sunday after Thanksgiving. It has been our custom to donate a portion of the gate to local charities.
- As a mark of our grateful appreciation and thanks to Amherst College for providing our rehearsal space, we sing Christmas Carols at the college’s annual Faculty and Staff holiday party each December.
